Rooted in Nature is a response to an open call project brief for Garth arts in health, exploring 'Growth' in relation to St Woolos hospital, the subject of nature, as well as;

"seeing the outside spaces in an enclosed environment" - St Woolos staff member.

This representation brings forward the everyday voice of the hospital, discovering the relationship between nature and wellbeing.

Rooted in Nature is a demonstration of the use of nature in the health care environment and its innate healing power. Manipulating a corridor within St Woolos hospital filling it with colour and life, using a combination of model making, photography and digital editing, to re-imagine the hospital experience.
